- Book flights to Athens and take the opportunity to book a rental car at the same time.
We usually use a car rental company called Green Motion (www.greenmotion.gr). They, like many other car rental companies, have their cars parked a few kilometers from the airport. You are picked up at the exit and driven by them to the rental. To rent a car in Greece you must have a CREDIT CARD (not a debit card). The rental company ”locks” a security deposit of between €1000 – 2000 (depending on which car you rent) which is unlocked when the car is returned. The rental itself can be paid with a regular Visa and Master card if you wish.
- Time to start your trip
Set your GPS to the following coordinates: 37.5610896,22.8602103 You will then end up in Lefkakia, which takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes. On the way you will pass 5 toll booths. It costs between €2.00 – €2.85 at each point.
- When you arrive at the village
When you arrive in Lefkakia, your GPS will probably take you past the village church, where the village’s two cafes, Vicky’s restaurant and Mini-market are also located. Then there are only a couple of hundred meters left to drive. The road where Villa Paradis is located is narrow and worn, but don’t be alarmed – this is how roads look in genuine Greek villages. When you arrive, the house is on the right and the parking lot is on the left in the fenced plot.
